Matt from Urban Shield was the first to respond and quickly scheduled a Saturday visit that worked for me. He was professional, thorough, and honest, reassuring me there was no immediate need for full replacement, but identifying and fixing a leak around a vent pipe. Instead of pushing a new roof, he focused on the right repair to extend the life of what I have. Urban Shield did exactly what they promised, when they promised. From the first request for information until the final inspection, Matt was technically knowledgeable and responsive to our specific questions. His work crew was efficient and left our property cleaned up everyday. Arrival and departure of the workers was on time and everyone was friendly and polite even at end long days. We had hail damage on our home and several other buildings. Matt was quick to respond with quotes and completion dates. He worked with our insurance company to get all damage covered. The crew was professional, and removed all old roofing materials. Completely satisfied with the results.

Matt's new company: Urban Shield (exclusively his vrs past decades of shared ownership), did our roof, started end of February 2026. He did estimate and started less than a week later. Matt's employee of 10 yrs with him, put on a metal roof on our mobile home in 3.5 days, by himself at age 59. If you are looking for top shelf materials, knowledgeable, had working install, and are patient with small crew vrs big commercial outfits, let Matt shoot you an estimate. He'll save you some serious money and wait time compared to big commercial outfits. Other bids shot me anywhere from a few weeks to 5 months out, along with more money for same job. These bigger commercial outfits, (4 separate bids) by compare, gave 2 to 3 yr max labor warranties. Matt gives 10 yr labor warranty. Almost gave 4 stars vrs 5 due to timeframe promised start to completion vrs actual events. Matt's project timeline given was for 2 men doing the job, start to finish. Due to flu, had only one man during entire project on my roof. Yet this guy never stopped, never complained, just went to town, start to finish. Matt gives you his insurance and bond information with estimate. Takes about 20 minutes after roof evaluation with him vrs days or couple weeks with other companies. You have estimate, insurance and bond email before he leaves premises. His vision is to provide trustworthy work for reasonable rates, building customer relationships that endure. Your home, roof, siding etc, your investment. Do some homework, know what you want, what you are looking 4. The more you know what you want or don't want, the easier an evaluation and estimate go. Companies are full of ideas but not their home, not their investment nor do they have to live with it daily for years to come. Horrible to spend 5 to 10G and up, and after the fact realize what you were talked into wasn't what you wanted and are now stuck with. You have to look at it; make sure it's going to please you for years to come.
